ARTISTIC DIRECTOR

Johanna Waldorf, ARAD, RAD RTS

Johanna graduated from the Vancouver Goh Ballet Professional Program before moving to London, England where she completed her diploma in dance teaching from the Royal Academy of Dance, Durham University. Her professional dance career in Europe included five years as a soloist with Balletto del Sud in Italy performing in national and international tours. Alongside her professional dance career Johanna continued with her passion for teaching, instructing at the school of Balletto del Sud, Goh Ballet summer schools, as well as Arts Umbrella Dance Programs. She opened Waldorf Ballet in 2016 with the goal to provide an inspiring environment for dancers to develop their training to pre-professional levels on the Sunshine Coast, in Sechelt, BC. Alumni have joined Miami City Ballet School, attended YAGP finals, and been invited to national and international summer intensives.
