Master Class with Kirsten Wicklund – Scotiabank Dance Centre
Sunday, May 11 from 10:00-11:30 AM
Cost: In-Person: $45 for VBS members / $50 for non-members
Canadian born Kirsten Wicklund (she/her) danced with The Washington Ballet Company, Ballet BC (2014-2021 under Emily Molnar C.M. / Medhi Walerski) and Opera Ballet Vlaanderen (2021-2024). She has danced and/or created original roles in works by William Forsythe, Pina Bausch, Johan Inger, Emmanuel Gat, Adi Salant, Aszure Barton, Jorma Elo, Jacopo Godani, Crystal Pite, Ohad Naharin, Sharon Eyal, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, Akram Khan, Jan Martens, Richard Siegal, Ella Rothschild and more.
Kirsten has choreographed works for Opera Ballet Vlaanderen, Ballet Edmonton, The Dutch National Ballet’s Junior Company, The NY Choreographic Institute at NYCB, Ballet BC’s “Take Form”, and Ballet Kelowna among others.
Kirsten is the Artistic Director of Ballet Edmonton (Canada), a creation-based company focusing on the invention of new work.
