Our 51st Spring Seminar!

The Vancouver Ballet Society welcomed 56 dancers from 30 different dance schools across B.C. to our 51st Spring Seminar! Kit Holder, Artistic Coordinator of Birmingham Royal Ballet, taught ballet technique classes, accompanied by Siping Ma. Mimmo Miccolis, Guest Choreographer for the Brussels City Ballet, set original choreography on the contemporary classes. Original music for the pieces was composed by Francesco Germini and performed, in part, live by David DiTomaso. The final day of the Seminar included a Demonstration and Awards Ceremony where $20,000 in scholarships were presented to 16 students chosen by the teachers. Afterwards, a VIP Reception was held to meet the guest teachers, donors and board members.

VBS Spring Seminar 2027 will be March 14 – March 20! Auditions to be held Sunday, January 17th. Teachers to be announced in the Fall.
